Dr. Necropolis and the Organ Mysterium by EzekielCrowe Dr. Necropolis and the Organ Mysterium by EzekielCrowe
Doctor Necropolis

Ballpoint, zebra fine point, pilot extra fine ball point, done on bristol. Some clean up in photoshop. There will be a finished version coming with a more elaborate border. Halloween card concept. The original size of the piece was done on 11x17 comic page by Bristol. Took quite sometime but I was pleased with the results. Largest ballpoint pen drawing I have done in sometime.

Amazing. I love the technique you used, also I adore the concept, a lonely man an his organ. The details are very eye captivating, as if your telling a story behind all the misery he feels, such as the teddy bear on his pocket, the music notes on his hat, the melancholy of his laughter.
The organ itself is magnificent, great work on the details, I'm enchanted by it's symbology, the wood fashion and how the organ plays such a great part on the drawing.
I also enjoy the other elements you inserted on it, the bats, the black cat, the torn curtain, and the eighteen century clothes.
In all its an interesting drawing, Halloween like, a bit creepy and a tiny sad.

As for a critique, I would only say one thing.  Your detail is great and amazing, but it can turn back on you in some regards. For instance some parts are very well rendered in the round, but you leave certain places flat and vague- like the black keys.  I think if you added greater depth to the surfaces, your detail would really pop.  It seems like it is a mix.  All that said, I love the piece.
